Wednesday Lessons for Dec. 1st

For those of you that have lessons (except Chelsea) on Wednesday, 1 December 2010, I just found out this afternoon that we (Sarah and I) will have to be at clinic for most of the day on Wednesday. They are requiring that I be there. Thus, I will need (and want to) reschedule your lesson (Tuesday people, your lessons are fine). Please stop by my office sometime tomorrow to reschedule your lesson to later in the week (Thursday or Friday), or sometime during final's week. I am truly sorry for this. I could put in for a 'sick day' and not have to make up the lessons, but there is NO WAY that I want to do that. So please stop by and get a new time. As I told you earlier in the semester, this segment of chemo is called "Delayed Intensification," words and calendar Mary Jo and I have been dreading. The last day of this segment is January 14th (it was just moved from the 5th to the 14th, adding nine more days to the segment) and life gets back to some normality.

I am sorry this semester has been so strange and I (and my wife) truly want to thank all of you for being so patient!

Brass Band Personnel

After conferring with my colleagues and Dr. Campbell, I have finally put together a list for next semester's brass band. Since we are not having auditions this semester (we will starting in the Fall of 2011), prior brass band performers were placed first. The open seats were my decision and my decision only. I took into account a number of items before I made the placements. So, here is the list:

Baritone 1 - Ryan Grainer
Baritone 2- William Thompson

Euphonium 1 - Daniel Turchyn
Euphonium 2 - Danielle VanTuinen

High Tuba 1- Daniel Wilhelm
High Tuba 2 - Christopher Fenner

Low Tuba 1 - Tyler Dunham
Low Tuba 2 - Adam Graves

If someone from this list does not want to perform, then I will confer with my "waiting list." Please do not ask where you stand on that list. I will only use it if necessary. Don't forget, you MUST sign up for M281B for credit or you can not play.

For the auditions in the fall, we still have to work out the details. As I know more, I will pass them on to you.

Thank you for your patience.
